Brought to you by Elevation Care, Fashion For A Cause is a fashion show event showcasing designer and recycled clothing to raise money for our community food and clothing centre.
Global Care was established in 1992 to provide hands on assistance through practical aid in communities that need a helping hand. Global Care live by the Aussie culture of “mates helping mates” and has gained tremendous favour from local governments down to the man in the street by their hands on approach in getting the job done. Global Care have brought life changing aid to the Kinglake bushfire victims through community work and more recently the QLD flood victims by helping with the cleanup and providing school packs to flood affected schools.
Elevation Care is just one of our Global Care projects being a low cost food distribution centre on the Gold Coast for approx 5700 struggling families in Varsity and Tweed Heads as well as providing support to many local charities including Pregnancy Crisis Centre, Oz Care and many more. Elevation Care also assists in proving food for women’s domestic violence shelters here on the coast. Since opening nearly 3 years ago Elevation Care has assisted more than 22,824 people ie 4.32% of the Gold Coast’s population. We have a pre-loved clothing boutique connected to our centre that helps clothe those in need. With these donations we were inspired to create an event, “Fashion for a Cause” that will help promote the work we do.

Elevation Care Directors: Ross and Kathy AbrahamsRoss and Kathy lead pastors of Elevation Church, Directors of
Elevation Care. Ross is a board member of Christian Outreach Centre
Australia and is responsible for 56 churches through out Queensland.
They have an incredible ability to engage in the community and
establish resources to meet the need.
Elevation Care Manager: Andy BackhouseElevation Care. Andy's ability to engage with people and the broader
community has seen Elevation Care establish strong foundation here on the Gold Coast.
Elevation Care Fundraising Coordinator: Peta Ludwik
Peta is a fundraising coordinator for Elevation Care. Peta also runsher own small business, she enjoys networking and building an
awareness of the work of Elevation Care. Peta engages like minded
people to be the answer to needs in our local community.
